Each round table brought together major players from the sectors concerned, elected representatives and other experts.
The AI France Summit in a few catchphrases :
- « Artificial Intelligence is there to automate cognitive tasks : like perception, understanding and decision-making in front of a situation. For the moment, it does quite well on perception tasks but its understanding remains basic. Imagine, if you will, a very disciplined idiot. ». Antoine DUBOIS cabinet Atawao
– « Europe is only fourth in the world, after the US, China and Israel, France is on the third step of the European podium behind the United Kingdom and Germany. Brexit might give France the opportunity to get on the first step. » Antoine DUBOIS cabinet Atawao
– « The difficulty of explanation of deep learning is the main obstacle to the wider adoption of AI in the health field.» Jean-David ZEITOUN – Co-founder andCMO - Inato
– « The biggest challenge of AI in medicine is access to patient dataif it works for research, we should be able to do it in a more operational way! »Emmanuel BACRY – Director of research Polytechnique
– « Even doctors are afraid of being replaced by artificial intelligence ! » David de Amorim – Health Innovation Director at Docaposte

Solutions to the issues raised :
It seems obvious that the countries of Europe will not be able to compete with the United States or China in terms of investments. The best way to be able to stand up to them is a transversal approach in the sharing of our resources according to Cédric Villani deputy LREM.
Many Artificial Intelligence projects are in a rut because of the sillotage of data, or the difficulty of working with unstructured data, a problem that we are able to address with DataVision.
We really enjoyed this conference day. The points raised and the experts present give a particularly relevant insight into the sector. How about you, were you there too? What did you think of it?
